DeenUnlock is a Muslim app blocker and worship companion for iOS and Android. It helps you restrict access to distracting apps until you complete an Islamic practice — prayer, Qur'an, dhikr, du'a, or learning.
The following is stored locally on your phone:
A copy of your worship totals is also backed up, as described next. Your protected-app list and your location are never part of that backup.
DeenUnlock keeps a copy of your worship totals so they survive a reinstall or a new device. This is on by default, and you can switch it off at any time in Settings under “Back up my progress” — from that moment nothing further is sent.
What is saved: your lifetime deed counts and streaks, prayer and dhikr totals, monthly summaries, your Qur’an reading place and Khatm history, your goals and targets, and your app language.
What is never saved: your tradition or school of practice, your prayer-calculation settings, which apps you protect, your location, your name, your email, or anything that identifies you personally. Your religious affiliation never leaves your device. A new device asks you again rather than us keeping a record of it.
No account is created. The backup sits under an anonymous identifier generated on your device, stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and encrypted in transit. Only a device that already holds that identifier can read or write the record, and no client can delete one.
A second device: Settings → “Link a device” shows a pairing code. Entering it on another device makes both share one record. That code is the only way to reach it.
Deletion: send your pairing code to admin@aimasterz.com and we will erase that record. Uninstalling removes the identifier from your device, which permanently ends any connection between you and the stored copy.
