How DeenUnlock works

  1. Choose the apps to block. Pick the social media and entertainment apps that pull your attention, such as TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
  2. Allow the block to run. On iPhone and iPad, DeenUnlock uses Apple Screen Time and Family Controls. On Android, it uses the Accessibility Service.
  3. Open a blocked app and meet the prompt. Instead of the feed, you see a short worship prompt.
  4. Complete the act and the app unlocks. You choose how long it stays open, from 5 to 30 minutes.

What you do to unlock

To unlock, you can read a verse of Qur'an, count a cycle of dhikr on the tasbih counter, read a du'a, or complete a short ilm lesson. The goal is simple: put a moment of worship between you and the scroll, so opening an app becomes a deliberate choice rather than a reflex.

Strict prayer lock mode

Prayer Lock keeps your chosen apps locked for 15 minutes before and after each prayer time. The lock uses the same prayer times as the rest of the app.

More than a blocker

DeenUnlock is also a full daily worship app. It includes prayer times with adhan alerts, a Qibla compass, a Hijri calendar, a Zakat calculator, and a Khatm tracker. Your Deen Journey turns daily prayers, Qur'an pages, dhikr, du'as, and ilm lessons into a record you can revisit, without turning worship into a competition.

Private and ad-free

There are no ads, and no email or sign-in is required for core use. Worship records live on your device first. DeenUnlock is free to download on the App Store and Google Play.
